What are the goals of your church?

Who are you and what do you believe?

What do you do in your meetings?

What will be expected of me in your meetings?

What should I wear to your meetings?

Do I need to bring anything if I come to visit your church?

What other meetings do you have other than Sunday morning? Do you have Bible studies?

If I visit your church, will I be asked to give money?

Do you have anything for my children?

What are the goals of your church?

As believers meeting in Halifax, our goals are those outlined in the Bible:
To preach the gospel, and spread the good news of Jesus' salvation to all people;
To build up believers to serve God in their daily lives;
To encourage one another to grow in Christ, and to "pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called us upward." (Philippians 3:14)

What do you do in your meetings?

We praise and worship God through singing, praying, reading the Bible, sharing experiences and testimonies of Christ, and fellowshipping together in the Spirit. The goal of meeting together is to build one another up, to encourage one another to grow in Christ, and to enjoy Christ as the church.

What will be expected of me in your meetings?

Participation in the singing time and fellowship in small groups is encouraged, but not required. Ultimately, the goal is for you to come and enjoy Christ with us.

What other meetings do you have other than Sunday morning? Do you have Bible studies?

The saints gather together on Tuesday nights for a time of prayer and fellowship. Various Bible studies are held throughout the week that are organised by individuals. If you desire to be involved in a Bible study, we are more than willing to arrange a meeting to suit your schedule and preferences.

If I visit your church, will I be asked to give money?

We do not pass a plate, but simply have a box in the room where people can place their financial offerings. We encourage all those who are regularly with us to go before the Lord and to give as the Lord leads.

Do you have anything for my children?

Whether your children are in elementary school, junior or senior high school, we have something for you.
Our children's' service involves the kids in the stories of the Bible through fun, interactive lessons, memory verses, crafts, and other activities. Our goal is to give your children a fundamental knowledge of the characters and stories of the Bible.
Our youth group includes all those in junior and senior high school. Using contemporary Christian music and lessons relevant to everyday experiences of the average teenager, our goal is to make God accessible and meaningful for today's youth. Outside of the meeting atmosphere, the youth group leaders involve the group in activities designed to strengthen Christian friendships, and promote a proper and Godly living.
